My Tribe Print & Promo — Social Compliance Policy & Code of Conduct

1. Purpose & Commitment

My Tribe Print & Promo, LLC (“MTPP”) is committed to ethical, responsible, and lawful business practices. We believe that respect for human rights, safe working conditions, environmental stewardship, and transparency are fundamental to building trust with our employees, manufacturing partners, distributors, clients, communities, and the Earth.

This Social Compliance Policy sets out the minimum standards we require of all our operations, suppliers, subcontractors, and business partners. Compliance with this policy is mandatory and non-negotiable.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • MTPP’s own operations (domestic and abroad)
  • All business partners, vendors, manufacturers, subcontractors, and suppliers that provide materials, components, or finished products to MTPP
  • All workplaces, facilities, and supply-chain tiers involved in producing, storing, decorating, transporting, or handling our products

3. Core Principles & Standards

3.1 Human Rights & Labor Practices

  • No Forced Labor — No forced, bonded, indentured, prison, or involuntary labor. Workers must be free to leave their employment under ordinary notice.
  • No Child Labor — Employment of children below the minimum legal working age or below completion of compulsory education is prohibited. No person under 18 shall perform hazardous work (if applicable).
  • Freedom of Association & Collective Bargaining — Workers are free to form or join worker organizations or unions and to engage in collective bargaining or other lawful worker representation, in keeping with local laws. Worker-representatives shall not face discrimination.
  • Non-Discrimination & Equal Opportunity — No discrimination or harassment on the basis of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, national origin, political beliefs, or any other protected status. Hiring, compensation, training, promotion, termination, and purchasing decisions must be based on ability, merit, and business needs.

3.2 Wages, Benefits & Working Hours

  • Wages and benefits must comply with or exceed applicable legal minimums and industry benchmarks.
  • Overtime must be voluntary (unless local law mandates otherwise) and compensated at legally required overtime rates.
  • Deductions from wages for disciplinary or other purposes (beyond lawful withholdings) are prohibited.
  • Workers must receive clear, in writing, the terms and conditions of their employment, including wages, benefits, and pay frequency.
  • Working hours, rest periods, and overtime must comply with applicable local laws or recognized industry standards — whichever provides greater protection to workers.

3.3 Safe & Healthy Working Environment

  • Workplaces must meet or exceed applicable health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  • Access to clean drinking water, sanitary facilities, adequate ventilation, safe chemical handling (if relevant), and emergency procedures (fire exits, first aid) must be available.
  • Employers must provide appropriate training, personal protective equipment (PPE) where required, and maintain safe working practices at all times.
  • Dangerous or hazardous working conditions must be avoided, and reasonable measures must be taken to prevent accidents and injuries.

4. Environmental Responsibility & Sustainability

  • Suppliers, manufacturers, and partners must comply with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Efforts should be made to minimize environmental impact: reduce waste, recycle where feasible, manage energy and water use responsibly.
  • Hazardous materials (inks, dyes, chemicals) must be handled, stored, transported, and disposed of in accordance with local and international regulations.

5. Product Safety & Compliance Standards

For all products (and decorated items) supplied to MTPP:

  • Compliance with applicable U.S. and international regulations (e.g., consumer-product safety, chemical safety, labeling requirements) is required.
  • Where relevant (e.g., children’s products, apparel, accessories), materials must be tested by accredited third-party laboratories to verify compliance.
  • Batch/lot tracking information must be maintained to ensure traceability.
  • Suppliers must cooperate with audits, testing, certifications, and product-safety documentation requests from MTPP or its clients.

6. Ethical Business Conduct & Anti-Corruption

  • No bribes, kickbacks, payments, or gifts of value intended to influence decisions or gain unfair advantage are permitted.
  • All business partners must comply with applicable anti-corruption, bribery, trade, import/export, and customs laws.
  • Suppliers must not engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices.

7. Supply-Chain Transparency & Audit Rights

  • MTPP reserves the right to audit, inspect, or request documentation from any supplier, manufacturer, or subcontractor at any time to verify compliance with this policy.
  • Suppliers must provide full access to facilities, records (payroll, time-sheets, safety logs, chemical logs), and cooperate with third-party audits or inspections.
  • Suppliers must promptly notify MTPP of any significant changes to their supply-chain, sub-contracting, or production practices.

8. Continuous Improvement & Remediation

  • Suppliers must commit to continuous improvement: addressing identified non-conformities, implementing corrective actions, and preventing recurrence.
  • MTPP may require a corrective action plan (CAP) for violations; persistent non-compliance may lead to termination of business relationship.
  • MTPP will provide reasonable support to suppliers willing to improve practices if they demonstrate good faith and commitment.

9. Responsibility & Accountability

  • MTPP’s senior leadership assigns overall responsibility for enforcement of this policy.
  • All employees, contractors, and partners are required to comply with this policy.
  • Suppliers must acknowledge and sign a “Supplier Code of Conduct Acknowledgement” before engaging in any business with MTPP.
  • Training on social compliance obligations must be provided to all relevant staff involved in sourcing, procurement, inspection, and vendor relations.

10. Grievance & Reporting Mechanism

  • Workers (including at supplier facilities) must have access to a confidential, safe means to report grievances, violations, or concerns without fear of retaliation.
  • MTPP will investigate all credible reports promptly and impartially.
  • If corrective action is required, MTPP will work with the supplier to resolve the issue — or may cease the relationship if needed.

11. Policy Enforcement & Revision

  • This policy is reviewed annually by MTPP leadership.
  • Any changes in law, industry standards, or risk environment will trigger an immediate policy review.
  • Suppliers will be notified of changes and required to re-acknowledge compliance.
